More than 200 members of the Alianza Libertadora Nacionalista, nationalist and anti-Semitic Peronist organization, attempted early this morning to break into the building here of the Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew Association.
The raid was unsuccessful because the building was specially fortified after it was attacked by a group of armed police last November. The raiders painted anti-Jewish slogans on the walls and smashed several windows. They were finally dispersed by police, but no arrests were made.
The attack followed a wild tour of the city by the fascist hoodlums, during which they demonstrated before the headquarters of Socialist and Communist groups and attacked cafes in the wealthy quarter of the city.
