Desecration of the synagogue in the city of Hersfeld occured last night when prominent men broke into the building, robbed the valuables and mistreated the Holy Scrolls, throwing them into the river.
Following the traces left by the criminals, the police arrested a number of leaders of the anti-Semitic association. They are: Kaufmann, Gortting. Thielow, Engineer Reinmoeller and Goetze, a professional agitator.
