Felice authorities at Belo Horizonte, capital of the Province of Minas Gerais, announced today they were investigating the origin of anti-Semitic leaflets that have flooded the city.
The material, using anti-Semitic slogans, alleges that Jews are attempting to gain control of the Brazilian economy, naming several members of the Federal Government, whom it labels “Jews, ” as collaborators in the plans. Brazilians are called upon to boycott Jewish business enterprises and to refuse to pay debts to Jews. There are about 500 Jewish families in Belo Horizonte.
