Buyuk Dogu, anti-Semitic Turkish newspaper here, has been forced to suspend publication as a result of “moral pressure” from government circles.
The newspaper professed to support the Democratic Party–the party in power–and received official government advertising, giving rise to the suspicion that the government was supporting its views. Its suspension at this time has been interpreted here as a sign that the government is anxious to avoid such suspicious.
