George Leggett, the 20-year-old leader of the anti-Semitic United Nordic Confederation was under grand jury indictment today on charges of burglary, petty larceny and weapons law violations. He is the founder of a confederation ” to unite and purify all the Nordic peoples of the world.”
The conspiracy came to light last January when Leggett was arrested with ten other Queens youths after police received a tip that the youths were planning to rob a bank to finance the confederation. Acting County Judge Vincent R, Impellitteri reported that Bellevue Hospital psychiatrists had found Leggett sane. He is being held in $12,000 bail.
