Anti-Semitism is playing a large role in the gubernatorial race in the Russian city of Tula, according to the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews. Flyers distributed across the city, located approximately 130 miles south of Moscow, accuse candidate Andrei Samoshin of “sucking up to the Jews, Kazakhs and Kalmyks,” and of being a secret Jew and member of a satanic cult.
