A group of opposition leaders and deputies today formed a united front to fight against the Government’s alleged totalitarian tendencies and the extension of German influence in Hungary. The new group, to be known as “The Bloc of National Independence,” includes the two most prominent opposition leaders, Tibor Eckhardt, head of the Independent Agrarian Party, and Count Stephen Bethlen, former Premier. Between 60 and 80 deputies have joined the group.
