A world-wide appeal for the support of the Yeshiboth in Poland, Lithuania and Palestine was decided upon at the conclusion of a conference attended by eighty delegates representing the Yeshiboth in these three countries.
The conference was convoked by Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzienski and the Chofetz Chaim in behalf of the Federation of Yeshiboth in Poland.
The financial situation of the Yeshiboth is alarming as a result of the general crisis in Eastern and Central Europe, the paper states, and is due also to the fact that the Joint Distribution Committee in the last few months discontinued the subsidy which had been initiated by the Central Relief Committee.
Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum of Jerusalem, who for eighteen years served as secretary of the Central Relief Committee, attended the conference.
