The meeting of the Actions Committee of the Zionist Organization opening here today has brought together a larger number of members than was expected in view of the short notice given of the meeting.
The large attendance is due primarily to the expectation that this meeting will witness a general review, if not a revision, of the Zionist policy, growing out of the recent events in the movement.
The principal question is whether Dr. Weizmann, President of the Organization, knew and expected that an official pronouncement would be made regarding the establishment of an Arab Agency in Palestine, similar to the Jewish Agency provided for by the Mandate. If he did not know, members of the Actions Committee are desirous of ascertaining who is responsible for this step by the Colonial Office.
It is not unlikely that owing to differences of opinion with regard to the further tactics towards the British Government, as a result of the latest concession to the Arabs, that one or two members of the Executive will resign.
Dr. Weixmann’s attitude has not been stated clearly, although a recent speech of his in Paris indicated that he was unable to understand the alarm caused in the Zionist camp by the Arab Agency proposal.
