ARAB AMBASSADOR SAYS U.S. AID TO ISRAEL WILL CAUSE UNREST
A warning that continued American aid to Israel “will cause unrest” in the Arab countries was sounded here last night by the Jordanian Ambassador to the United States, Abdul Monem Rifai, addressing the annual meeting of the American Academy for Political Science. Several hundred government officials, educators and representatives of learned organizations, attended the session.
The Arab diplomat charged that “the solution of the Palestine problem is being directly hampered by United States aid to Israel. It increases the tension and complicates the just solution of this problem.” He claimed that Israel was setting up her state in violation of the United Nations resolutions on Palestine, and was planning to expand still further at the expense of territory in the surrounding Arab countries.
