A five year-old Arab boy was killed instantly and his three year-old brother was fatally wounded by a terrorist’s grenade burled in a Gaza street today. The grenade was aimed at an Israel Army patrol but missed its mark and exploded on the pavement. A captured Arab saboteur claimed in court today that the reason he infiltrated Israeli territory with an El Fatah band was to convert to Judaism and then go to the United States. But the court nevertheless sentenced 30 year-old Abed Bakou who was captured in a skirmish with an Israeli patrol. The Arab served with Iraqi units in Jordan but deserted to join El Fatah. The court said his “explanation” did not explain why he had fired on an Israeli patrol.
