A new split developed yesterday among Arab leaders on the method of selecting a delegation which J. H. Thomas, British Colonial Secretary, has invited to London for conferences in May on the proposed legislative council.
Jemal el Husseini, head of the Palestine Arab Party, demanded that a delegation be named similar to one sent in 1930, while other leaders maintained that the heads of the present Arab parties constitute themselves as the delegation. Both sides decided to submit memorandums to High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope seeking his decision in the matter.
