The Foreign Ministers of the 13 Arab League states, meeting in Egypt to prepare an agenda for the Arab summit conference to be held in Alexandria, sought to confine the agenda to the “Palestinian question,” it was reported here today from Cairo.
Some of the Arab delegations, according to the report, insisted on enlarging the agenda to include the Yemen problem, which involves Egyptian aggression. But the Saudi Arabian representatives insisted that Israel be made the sole topic of the Alexandria parley, which is scheduled to open this weekend.
Among the items affecting Israel, it was indicated, will be the Arab refugee problem, “liberation of Palestine” by an army to include refugees as well as military elements from Arab countries, proposals for an Arab common market, alleged Israeli “infiltration” in newly independent Asian-African countries, and a report that Israel was using atomic energy for military purposes.
