Arab Legion guards at the Mandelbaum Gate of the old City of Jerusalem today turned back the members of the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission who started on a trip to Jericho, on the Transjordan border. No reason as given for the action.

The Commissioners are leaving Saturday on a three-week tour of the neighboring Arab capitals, it was learned. However, it is not yet known whether they will return to Jerusalem after the trip, or whether they will proceed to Geneva. The two-day snow storm over Jerusalem continued today. The record breaking snowfall was reported to be as deep as a yard at some places.
