A group of Arab refugees from Palestine met in Linz today to discuss the problems of the refugees and to plan for the spreading of Egyptian propaganda in Europe. The 40 delegates, most of whom are students, came from Munich, Vienna, Graz, Zurich and Geneva.

They were addressed by Hamdi Kamel Sukhon, who identified himself as the “leader” of the 700,000 refugees and who urged that every medium be used for spreading Egyptian propaganda throughout Central Europe. He was followed by Dr. H. Fellner, former Nazi press chief for Upper Austria, who spoke of the development of trade relations between Austria and the Arab states.

The Federal Chamber of Commerce here has advised Austrian merchants intending to visit the Arab states to take baptismal certificates with them, lest they be suspected of being Jewish. The warning pointed out that Arab firms have been strictly observing regulations forbidding them to trade with foreign firms which also have dealings with Israel enterprises or with firms which are even “suspected” of being Jewish. The Chamber of Commerce warning also noted that the Arabs are checking as to whether the principals of foreign firms are of Jewish origin.
