The Arab states will not be able to strangle Israel by economic blockade any more than they were able to kill the Jewish state by military force, Israel Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett declared here last night at the animal dinner meeting of the New York chapter of Hadameek. Some 1,000 guests pledged $250,000 toward Hada###’s medical program.
Asserting that the “Arab world thinks it can strangle Israel by isolation,” Mr. Sharett declared that the “crude attempt” would fail “as long as the see and six remain free.” Referring to the fact that Israel has been formally rec## by many countries in all parts of the world, Mr. Sharett warned the Arabs that as far as relations with Israel are concerned, the isolators are becoming isolated.”
