Armistice agreements have been ignored by the Arab states, “and the world has put no restraint on their perverse activities which have actually developed into a permanent war” against Israel, Defense Minister Pinchus Lavon declared here today.
Mr. Lavon, speaking at commencement exercises for cadet officers, charged that the Arab states were taking advantage of the Western powers “who, busy with the cold war, would suffer any provocation in order to appease the Arabs.” Mr. Lavon cited recent incidents on virtually every border of Israel to bear out his conclusions.
