Arab threats to renew the war against Israel are being considered seriously by Israeli authorities, it was learned here. Official circles asserted today that the Arab threats “are not empty” because they are accompanied by military preparations. This activity can only be halted by a peace agreement and not by pressure on Israel, these same circles insist.
Israeli Army Day will be celebrated on the anniversary of Theodor Herzl’s death–July 17–a military high command announcement said today. Military parades will be held in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa, The celebration will honor the memory of those who fell in battle last year.
