The Arab trade delegation which is now in Britain is attempting to secure British products in place of Palestinian consumer goods, farid Saad, head of the delegation, said today.
Saad, who is manager of the Arab Bank in Palestine and a member of the Palestine Government’s War Economic Council, told a press conference that British consumer goods are much cheaper than those manufactured in Palestine, adding that the Arab League of 47,000,000 people wants to buy directly from Britain.
A Jewish trade delegation from Palestine is also in England at present, but there has been no contact between the two groups, and separate conferences and social functions have been arranged for each.
