Police in the southwestern German city of Saarbrucken have arrested two Arabs who filmed the prison compound in which the Hamadei brothers, two convicted terrorists, are being held.
Releasing the information Sunday, police said that one of the two, who were arrested at the end of February, is still being held in custody pending his possible expulsion from the country. He was carrying a forged passport from a South American country, police said.
The other is a Lebanese who legally resides in Germany.
The authorities believe the two were involved in an attempt to find ways to free the brothers, Lebanese citizens who are believed to be part of a clan involved in terrorist activities.
