Arabs are complaining of an increasing shortage of women in the Holy Land, and they blame the Jews.
The reasoning is that Arabs who sold land to Jews had enough money to buy six, seven–in some cases a dozen–women. This left the landless Arabs with only about one woman per two men.
Of all the “necessities of life,” say the Arabs, it is the value of women which has risen the most. The price of a woman has mounted from about $150 to $500. Some even bring the fabulous figure of $1,250.
