All Arab members of the Palestine Government’s Advisery Committee on Food Control have resigned to protest the Government’s decision to ferm similar advisory councils on transport and social welfare consisting of a like number of Jews and Arabs.
The Arabs have been pressing in recent months for a two to one ratic on all official bodies, on the basis that there are roughly twice as many Arabs in Palestine as Jews. Last month the Arab members of the War Economic Advisory Council resigned when this demand was rejected.
