Authoritative sources today confirmed reports that Arab leaders attending the Arab Congress here had received a cable in code from Iraqi Foreign Minister Tewfik es-Suwaidi which said that the British Colonial Office had decided to suspend Jewish immigration to Palestine for two years. Giving the Arabs this satisfaction, it was stated, Britain hoped to end the revolt and also expected conclusion of a peaceful Arab-Jewish agreement within the two years.
