Reliable reports said today that the Arabs concentrated a total of 15,000 regular and irregular forces around Jerusalem in an attempt to capture one of the hills near Ein Karim. In their first assault today they suffered heavy casualties inflicted by the Israeli Army. At least four Jewish soldiers were reported wounded.
