Arab spokesmen will appear before the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry on Palestine, when it holds hearings here next month, it was decided yesterday at a meeting of the Arab Higher Committee, presided over by Jamel. Husseini, extremist leader, who returned from exile this week.
The committee in making its announcement pointed out that it reserved the right not to accept the inquiry group’s findings, and simultaneously, called for widening of the committee to include representatives of other nations, particularly the Arab states. A second demand made by the Arab committee was the return to Palestine of the exiled ex-Mufti of Jerusalem before the Anglo-American commission arrives here.
