Archbishop of Canterbury Supports Bevin; Says Palestine Cannot Solve Jewish Problem

The Archbishop of Canterbury today sent a letter to his dicease approving Foreign Minister Bevin’s statement on Palestine and emphasizing that the Jewish problem cannot be solved only–nor mainly–in Palestine. The British pledge to establish a Jewish National Home in Palestine is conditioned on not prejudicing the interests of the existing inhabitants, the Archbishop pointed out.
