The archives of the "Chovivei Zion", the first Palestine Committee formed by Russian Jews in the eighties of the Nineteenth Century, to create a popular movement for the colonization of Palestine, known under the name "Chovivei Zion (lovers of Zion) were transferred from Odessa to the Jewish National Library at Jerusalem.
These records contain many important historical documents, as well as data on the first Jewish colonization attempts in Palestine.
