The startling proposal contained in a memorandum submitted by the Argentine delegation to the International Conference of the Union of the League of Nations Societies in session here, asking the League to persuade Great Britain to issue a £200,000,000 loan to aid in the establishment of the Jewish National Home, will not come up for discussion in the original form.
The delegation decided to greatly modify this proposal before it is submitted for official action. It was also learned that a memorandum prepared by the Bulgarian League of Nations Society regarding the persecutions of the Jews in Yemen will not be taken up at this session.
Dr. Leo Motzkin, chairman of the Committee of Jewish Delegations in Paris, and a delegate to the conference representing the Palestine Society, was appointed to serve on the National Minorities Commission of the Conference.
