The Argentine Government’s firm backing of the Argentinean Jewish community’s fight against anti-Semitism has, at least temporarily, halted the efforts of racists in that country, it was stated here today by Dr. Isaac Goldenberg, president of DAIA, the central body of organized Jewry in Argentina, On a visit in Mexico, Dr. Goldenberg was honored at a reception here by the Central Committe of Mexican Jewry.
“We have reasons for satisfaction with the firm stand against anti-Semitism taken by our democratic Government, ” said Dr. Goldenberg. “However, we must continue to be on the alert and on guard, because the halt in anti-Semitism may be only temporary. The anti-Semites may still attempt to renew their hooliganism against Argentine Jewry.”
