Efforts to increase the number of Jews in Canada’s army are now being stimulated by Jewish recruiting offices in Montreal and Toronto. The official opening of the recruiting station in Toronto was marked by a Torchlight parade of Jewish War Veterans. The recruiting drive is sponsored by the Canadian Jewish Congress.

One of the most recent Jewish enlistments in the Canadian Navy is a Jew who came to Canada from the Argentine. He is Petty officer Louis Cohen who is already on a corvette, “somewhere in the Atlantic.”
