The Daia, central representative body of Argentine Jewry, has appealed to Buenos Aires Mayor Virgilio Debenedetti to ban the sale of anti-Semitic books in this city.
The DAIA pointed out that books disseminating recist propaganda are banned by the new Argentine Constitution and that President Juan Peron has publicly condemned anti-Semitism. It also reported that copies of the forgeries, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” and Henry Ford’s disavowed “The International Jew” can be purchased at any newsstand or bookshop.
