More than 15,000 persons last night attended a mass meeting launching a 7,000,000-peso (approximately $1,750,000) drive for relief for European Jews.
The meeting was addressed by representatives of the newly-formed Relief Organization, World Jewish Congress and Joint Distribution Committee. Memorial services for the 6,000,000 Jewish war dead were held.
