A yearbook, the first of its kind providing comprehensive information on Jewish life in Latin America, has been published by the Buenos Aires office of the American Jewish Committee, it was announced here today.
The 200-page book includes data on the South American Jewish communities, their history, demography, educational, cultural and religious life, the Jewish press, community organizations and intergroup relations as well as a number of research articles and a directory of the major Jewish institutions. A major portion of the work is devoted to Argentine Jewish life.
