Argentine police announced today they have rounded up some members of a fascist organization, whose headquarters here were raided today, after leaders of the Jewish community complained of a series of anti-Semitic acts recently perpetrated in various parts of Argentina.
Jewish schools as well as synagogues had been painted recently with swastikas, tar has been hurled at Jewish homes, and other acts of vandalism and terrorism have been reported by Argentine Jews. A Jewish deader, complaining that “it takes only a few microbes to poison society,” demanded that police take firmer action against the Fascist toughs held responsible for the anti-Semitic manifestations.
