Argentine President and Madame Peron have each contributed one silver cup to be used as prizes in the forthcoming Jewish “Olympic”games at the Third World Maccabiah, which will be held in Israel at the end of this month.
The original plan of sending 30 Argentine Jews to the games cannot be fulfilled, it was learned here today, because of the inability to raise the necessary funds. It is hoped that a small Argentine delegation will be able to compete.
