Carlos Silveiro, professor of mathematics at the Colegio Mariano Moreno, has been dismissed by the minister of education for advocating Fascism during his lectures.

The minister took this step when a number of students, many of them Jewish, called a strike against the professor and demanded that he be discharged.

When the students assembled outside the college in order not to let strike-breakers in, the vice-rector came out and asked that “Argentinians” come into the building, leaving the Jews outside. However, the young students, who, apparently, have not yet been sufficiently “enlightened” politically, did not know which of them were not “Argentinians” and therefore could not follow the instructions of their anti-Semitic rector.
