The question of unmolested passage of Israeli vessels through the Suez Canal will be discussed at the June 12 meeting of the Israeli-Egyptian Mixed Armistice Commission, it was learned here today.

Present at that meeting will be some of the highest ranking officers of the Egyptian and Israeli armies, as well as United Nations Truce Chief Major General William E. Riley. However, no far reaching decisions are expected from that session, because it is known that the U.N. legal department, which has finally reached a decision on the issues in the case, has decided that the control of shipping through the Suez Canal by the Egyptians does not violate the Israeli-Egyptian armistice agreement.

Meanwhile, almost all complaints pending before the Jordan-Israel Mixed Armistice Commission were withdrawn yesterday during a four-hour session of the commission which noted a large decline in Jordan-Israel border incidents during the past month.

The Israeli delegation asked the Jordanians for immediate rectification of the situation north of Beersheba where Arab irregulars have been trespassing on Israel territory. The Jordanian representatives promised to act immediately. The Israeli delegation also agreed that monks of the Trappist monastery at Latrun, midway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, would be permitted to cross the Jordan-Israel demarcation line to work their fields in Israel territory.
