An arms cache discovered by police last night in Tel Aviv engineering plant was today reported to be one of the largest Haganah arms dumps in Palestine. Informed sources estimated the value of the weapons at ##750,000.No word has yet been received from the refugee ship Shivat Zion (Return to Zion) whose imminent arrival was announced last night in a Haganah broadcast. The announcer said there were 400 persons aboard. Four destroyers were dispatched to ?unt it down.
A large number of troops cordoned off the colony of Bat Yam, adjoining Jaffa, at dawn this morning, and conducted a thorough search of the area. A curfew was ##mposed. It is believed that the troops were hunting two sergeants kidnapped in ##athanya two weeks ago.Martial law continues in Nathanya, meanwhile, although no evidence concerning ##the whereabouts of the kidnappers or their victims has been discovered at the end of nine days of occupation. The 54 attacks by dissident groups, set off by the siege of Nathanya, has already cost 11 lives and brought injury to 66 people.
