New Year greetings to Jewish men and women in the armed forces from the commanders of the principal army posts throughout the nation were made public here today by the Jewish Welfare Board.
The majority of the messages express the hope that the coming year will bring victory to the forces of the United Nations and also pay tribute to the fighting qualities of the Jewish people. Among the officers who have issued Rosh Hashonah greetings to the troops under their command are Brig. Gen. Walter Roulton, Brig. Gen. Harry J. Collins, Brig. Gen. E. W. Duncan, Brig. Gen. Rollin L. Tilton and Rear Admiral Thomas Withars.
