ARNOLD BERNSTEIN, WHOSE TRIAL IN A HAMBURG, GERMANY COURT, ON CHARGES OF “ECONOMIC TREASON” IS NOW DRAWING TO A CLOSE, HAS ATTRIBUTED HIS WHOLE FINANCIAL TANGLE TO HIS ATTEMPT TO ESTABLISH A PALESTINE SHIPPING SERVICE.

THE JEWISH OWNER OF THE ARNOLD BERNSTEIN AND RED STAR LINES, ACCORDING TO HAMBURG DISPATCHES, IS CHARGED WITH CONCEALING FOREIGN EXCHANGE RECEIVED THROUGH THE RECONDITIONING AND SALE OF HIS SHIP HOHENSTEIN TO HIS PALESTINE SHIPPING COMPANY AND THEN TO ANOTHER COMPANY.
