Several hundred leaders in the field of art, entertainment and philanthropy attended an “Art for Humanity” auction of paintings and sculpture at the Parke-Bernet Galleries here tonight in behalf of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York. The collection auctioned off included more than 100 works by old masters, well known contemporary artists and distinguished amateurs.
