The Artef, Yiddish workers’ theatre, which has been presenting plays in the city for the last six years, has opened its first Broadway season at the Artef Theatre, 247 West Forty-Eighth street, formerly known as the President, with “Recruits,” comedy by the Russian playwright L. Resnick.
