Funeral services will be held tomorrow in Manhasset, L.I. for Arthur J. Dixon, who had served as a vice president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies and as a member of the board of the Jewish Guild for the Blind. He died Sunday of a heart attack. He was 57.
Dixon also had served as chairman of the Federation’s distribution committee, and had been a member of the executive committee, the level of grants committee and the Fund for Jewish Education Committee.
An accountant, Dixon had also served the Guild for the Blind as treasurer and most recently as a member of the Guild’s advisory committee.
He had also been a director and former chairman of the Law Alumni Association of New York University. He had been president of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
