Arthur Kahane, prominent Jewish playwright and author and for decades one of the closest collaborators of Max Reinhardt, died here on Saturday at the age of sixty.
Mr. Kahane, who was born in Vienna in 1875, became associated with Max Reinhardt in 1905, playing an important part in the direction of the latter’s theatres in Berlin.
He was the author of a number of plays and novels.
