Further proof that there will be no relaxation of the functioning of the “Aryan” clause in German life was offered yesterday in a ruling by the Ministry of the Interior concerning illegitimate children.
According to this ruling, illegitimate children whose mothers were “Aryan” and fathers “non-Aryan” are to be classed as “non-Aryan.” Where the identity of the father is not known, the child is to be given the benefit of the doubt and be considered “Aryan.”
