Ashkelon prison has been closed to visitors since last Friday when two Arab terrorists serving life sentences murdered one of their cell mates, it was disclosed today. Prison authorities said the weapon used was a shoelace. The victim was identified as Haled Mustafa El Hald, 21, also serving a life term. Prison authorities said he was marked for death either because he was suspected of collaborating with Israeli authorities or because he made homosexual advances to other inmates. The two suspects have been questioned. The prison was the scene of an inmates’ riot last October.
