Basle trial that the “Protocols” were forgeries was hailed by the Voelkischer Beobachter, leading Nazi paper, as “a decisive turn in the trial.”
Dr. Alfred Rosenberg, editor of the paper, is himself indirectly involved in the trial, since he is the author of a German version of the “Protocols.” which has been widely distributed in Germany and on which the Nazi party bases its anti-Jewish program.
The Beobaenter has published a series of violent articles since the trial adjourned, attacking the witnesses who termed the “Protocols” forgeries and affirming the truth of the assertions in that document.
