A memorandum describing the Zionist position in Palestine and explaining the need of British aid in facilitating the reconsruction of the Jewish Homeland has been submitted by the Zionist Executive Committee to the British Colonial Office, Nahum Sokolow today informed the Greater Actions Committee in semi-annual meeting here.
The presentation of this memorandum followed the report Dr. Weizmann made to his colleagues on the Zionist Executive, after his return from Palestine. The Colonial office was urged to remove restrictions hindering the Zionist progress in Palestine, Mr. Sokolow declared.
Removal of the head office of the Palestine Foundation Fund from London to Jerusalem is urged in cabled resolutions received by Zionist leaders from the National Executive Committee of the Zionist Organization of America and from the American directors of the Fund, the American Zionists insisting that the elimination of the London office of the Keren Hayesod will result in a considerable saving of expenditure.
