Austrian Jews today submitted a complaint to the Ministry of Social Work against the demands now being made by state and municipal institutions that applicants for positions in these institutions should attach certificates of baptism to their applications.
The complaint points out that innovation is a discrimination against citizens of the Jewish faith. It expresses surprise that instead of the usual birth certificates, special certificates of baptism are suddenly being asked in all institutions.
