Cancellation of orders of timber and other products by Jewish merchants in Palestine from Roumanian firms is suggested by the Hebrew daily, “Doar Hayom,” as a protest against the attacks on the Jews in Roumania. This economic weapon would be more effective than all the protest meetings in Vienna, Berlin, London and New York, the paper says. “Not a single box from Roumania should enter Palestine so long as our brethren are hounded there and the anti-Semitic leaders go unpunished,” the “Doar Hayom” declared.
